FTA5111 is a portable and powerful adapter with rich functions. It is equipped with 1 FXS port and 1 FXO port, which allows you to connect an analog phone to PBX system, as well as connect to PSTN line. What's more, the FTA5111's Stand-Alone Survivability (SAS) feature can ensure telephony communication continuity (survivability) when hosted IP services fail.
Normal State:
In the normal state, FTA5111 receives REGISTER requests from IP Phones and forwards them to the external proxy normally.

Emergency State:
When a connection with the external proxy fails, the FTA5111 enters the SAS emergency state. The FTA5111 serves as a proxy for the IP Phones, by handling internal call routing of the IP Phones (within the LAN).
